We’re serious star gazers at Light House but in our experience few people understand the star rating system. Our work over the last decade suggests 8 stars is the sweet spot in terms of ‘thermal bang for buck’. An 8 star home is predicted to need less than half the energy for heating and cooling of a 6 star home the same size.
