Ella Bloor

Originally from the Southern Highlands, Ella moved to Sydney to begin her Architectural studies at the University of Sydney. Being a road and mountain bike cyclist, Ella quickly realized that Sydney wasn’t the place to be and moved south at the end of her Bachelor of Design in Architecture in 2017.

Moving to Canberra in 2018 saw a happier balance between the student and athlete. During her Master of Architecture degree at the University of Canberra, Ella embarked on an intensive learning experience in Japan. With a passion for sustainability, Ella focused her studies on sustainability in the sense of belonging, modesty and harmony.

Ella was a new face to the Light House team in 2020, after graduating from her Masters of Architecture in 2019.

Ella has a knack for developing a good understanding of her clients and unravelling their dreams throughout the design process. She loves to bring a design to life with colours, materials and textures, and enjoys watching how these elements can transform a simple space into something personal and character-filled. Ella also enjoys the opportunity to work on designs that incorporate something unique about the clients, whether it be a craft or photography space, a yoga studio or somewhere to sew.

Outside the 9-5, Ella rides her bike. A lot.
