Karen Lancaster

Karen is our resident client-turned-employee. Her experience, sharp intellect and analytical approach caught the eye of Director Jenny in the initial lead process and eventually resulted in Karen joining the team.

Karen has worked in numerous roles in both the public and private sector. While working, she completed a course in Sustainable House Design through the University of Tasmania - in the hope of one day building a new family home. The course sparked a joy and curiosity in Karen about the design and thermal properties of homes, and their potential to have an amazing positive effect on the physical and psychological wellbeing of inhabitants.

If Keith is the office foundation, then Karen is the glue. Preferring to be a behind-the-scenes quiet achiever Karen keeps Jenny organised, watered and fed, and most importantly is teaching Jenny to say ‘no’. She also manages our initial enquiries - if you have emailed us for any of our services, the chances are you received a response from Karen. She always keeps clean tea towels in the kitchen and sometimes bakes us her delicious raisin toast. Karen is our un-caped super hero.

When Karen isn’t working two jobs and being a super hero, she can be found planting a garden at her new home or cooking up a storm in the kitchen.
