The Neighbourhood Effect

The Neighbourhood Effect, a new non-profit organisation, is conducting some market research for a mobile app to help Canberrans reduce their household emissions. It sounds cool and we thought you might be interested in participating!

The app will use behavioural science to help members build ecologically sustainable habits and switch to local climate-friendly products and services. If you'd like to read more about the project, check out The Neighbourhood Effect's website.

There are a series of focus groups that will take place over the next fortnight to help inform the design of the app. The Neighbourhood Effect is looking for people who care about climate change and sustainability but who haven't made big changes to their own emissions footprint due to a lack of information, time, energy or money.

You'll only need to come to one session, which will run for 2 hours. A few days before the focus groups start, participants will also receive an online survey to complete. If you'd like to participate, you can RSVP to one of the sessions here.

You can get in touch with The Neighbourhood Effect's founder, Lily Dempster, by emailing lily@theneighbourhoodeffect.com.au if you have any questions or if you'd like to get more involved in the project.
