Design Canberra is running a series of design exhibitions in architecturally designed Canberra homes. Our Narrabundah house is one of these open homes, open November 6th and November 20th.
Elliot Bastianon’s work is guided by an interest in combining elements to present new narratives in furniture designs. He sees great importance in marrying materials, such as timber, together with lesser known ones to generate new forms and furniture types. This idea of bringing disparate elements together to create a new dialogue is a key element of the Narrabundah House, where a distinction between the old structure and new addition is clearly legible.
Both parties are excited to come together and display a collection of furniture within a space, each being sympathetic to the other.
The home will be open to the public and a range of work will be for available to purchase.
This event is free. For more information, visit the Design Canberra website.
